Biman Bangladesh Airlines has cancelled all flights on the Dhaka-Delhi route to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Confirming the news, Md Mokabbir Hossain, managing director of the airlines, said that no aircraft will fly on the route from March 14 onward.

However, one aircraft will fly to Kolkata on March 15 to bring back the Bangladeshis there.

The decision was taken just a day after the Indian government on Wednesday suspended all existing visas except for diplomatic, official, UN, international organization, employment and project visas.

The suspension will come into effect on March 13 and will remain till April 15.
